The Regional Universities Forum (RUFORUM) Uganda, commissioned GIC Ltd to undertake the Mid-Term Review (MTR) of its flagship programme initiative titled ‘Transforming African Agricultural Universities to meaningfully contribute to Africa’s growth and development (TAGDev)’ programme at the height of the Coronavirus pandemic between March and December 2020. At the time of the MTR, the TAGDev programme was an eight-year initiative (2016 – 2024) supported by the Mastercard Foundation.
TAGDev works with African agricultural universities equipping them to better respond to developmental challenges through the enhanced application of science, innovation, technology, and business using the agency of better qualified, more resourceful, innovative and committed university and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) graduates.
The MTR employed a robust set of tools and techniques for qualitative and quantitative data collection for 140 individuals associated with the programme to generate evidence.
